About the event:

I Scream & Red is happy to announce that we will be offering basic sewing and bag making workshops all day on a WALK-IN Basis.

We will have one on one sewing workshops where you can create your very own:
– tote bags
– drawstring backpacks
– cushion covers and other simple sewing crafts

By using our machines and with the helping guidance of our makers, you can create your next customised bag!

Bring along an old pair of jeans or fabric and turn that into your new favourite upcycled item or use fabric from our upcycled fabric vault with tons of fabrics and samples books to select from!

Workshops duration 30 – 60min and cost between R100 and R150 depending on your product you choose to make. The price includes all materials and training.

All proceeds of this workshop will go toward the training of our disabled makers in disadvantaged communities.

I Scream & Red is a non profit organisation based in Cape Town that teaches people with disabilities how to design bags made from recycled seat belts, reused upholstery and rejected sample fabric books!
